Opening or venting Velux (otherwise known as roof windows) work differently than fixed. You can open or close them, which gives you more control over the airflow and provides ventilation. the solar powered models include automatic rain sensors.
Tube skylights are the most affordable skylight & are a great option for areas you want to add natural light but don’t want to over invest in. These are super easy to install and work by capturing sunlight with a tube-like structure and funnelling it down into your home.
The illume range provides solar powered light but unlike traditional skylights, there is no light shaft, and penetration is not required. They are a great option for walk-in robes, enclosed hallways, kitchens, pantries and even your bathroom. Unlike a traditional skylight you can even install an illume to lower levels, basements and attics.
